Daniel & Mayer

Daniel & Mayer was initially founded as an Italian brand producing shirts, still the mainstay of its collections today, and then went on to create true total looks with precious knitwear and tailoring.
An adventure that began in the late 1960s when Mayer, a young boy, gave shape and substance to his passion.

Driving a moped and armed with grit, determination and creativity, he set out in search of fabrics to be processed in the workshops, thus beginning to offer his first creations to the public.
The refined taste of the product was immediately appreciated, so much so that the young entrepreneur, together with his brother Daniel, opened a permanent sales outlet where he entrusted the distribution to a network of representatives.

Given the great demand for the product, Mayer started a stable and continuous production of shirts, with the collaboration of his young wife and patternmaker, Camilla, with whom he created the models.
In 1978 the first showroom was inaugurated in Via S. Gregorio 30, Milan, which is still the reference point for the brand’s image and which marked the company’s entry into the world of distribution.
